...ostensibly built around records that have been sampled by hip-hoppers, but can really be enjoyed by anyone looking for some quality obscure soul funk.
Cuts that were originally a minute and change are stretched further into the three-minute mark, with intros seamlessly looped and breaks nimbly extended into more substantial stand-alone works, so quintessentially tied into the roots of hip-hop that they're literally impossible to deny.

Taking it back to the old school with this compilation of foundation breakbeats; packed with smouldering slabs of unashamed party funk
the dancefloor vibes are fully dancehall ready; including bootlegs, reconstructions, and facsimiles of the instrumentals used in the seminal hip-hop
Disco, funk, and classic rock staples that still proved deathless through the late 1980s heyday of sampling...

These are unpretentious offerings, more about the intimacy and immediacy of a basement party than exercises in cleverness or trainspotting.
